Free Media Transfers With Hypertags
Enabling the growing trend to transmit music to/from mobile phones via short range wireless transmissions, Hypertag's technology uses short-range (i.e. less than 30 feet) wireless devices to send information
to mobile phones via infra-red or Bluetooth. To grab a free promotional ringtone for example, "a user activates the
infra-red or Bluetooth on their phone, holds it up to the Hypertag and
receives content such as vouchers, business cards, ringtones or games. Because Hypertags use short-range wireless technologies, rather than SMS, interactions are free to both brand and consumer." In other words, the entire process does not use up any carrier airtime charges :)

As far as I know Hypertag is only using Infrared which is actually a technology beyond us. Who is gonna point and click to a billboard. I found a company who proposes the same kind of services but with an enhanced Bluetooth. Sounds more like the future as a remote control does...

I was wrong, Hypertag is also using Bluetooth. But I think Kameleon technologies has a big technological advance in how using it. Kameleon makes the Bluetooth connection faster, less power consuming and content accessible in one click.
