Jamba Buys 25 Percent Ad Inventory on MTV Germany

A statistic someone mentioned at the Digital Music Forum, which surprised the bejesus out of me: Jamba, a mobile content (ringtone) provider in Germany, has apparently bought our 25 percent of the TV ad inventory on MTV Germany, to promote its ringtones. That is crazy stuff...

And you should see how many blogging people in Germany are very fed up with that fact. An online petition urging MTV Germany to stop Jamba ads already collected 100.000 signatures.

Sadly at least the same amout of ad space gets bougth by Jamba competitors like Zed. You can really get the feeling that you are watching Ringtone-TV, interrupted by a few music commercials.
