UF Law Conference 2005
I know this is a little old, but about a month ago I attended the Music Law Conference held at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. I came across this photo today on my memory stick which reminded me that I hadn't shared my experience online yet. It seemed to me that last year's event was better attended and had better speakers, but it was well worth the trip to hear Tess Taylor's keynote form NARIP...The event is sponsored by the Levin College of Law at the University and in a nutshell - the event wasn't as well attended as last year (maybe 100 people) but I applaud the efforts of the organizers. The event features music law panels, a music expo & demo listening exhibition, and a showcase of bands. According to the website, "Many of the key players in the music business will be in attendance, including entertainment attorneys, managers, booking agents, promoters, and of course, musicians." Check it out if you can next year, because where else for $40 can you get free legal advice all day!
