Want A Free iPod?
According to a press release, OngoBongo is giving away FREE Apple iPods Minis or Shuffles to the first 1,000 visitors to their website that sign up for OngoBongo's music lovers service. The catch (you know there's always a catch right?) is that the membership is paid 12 months in advance and costs $265. The company is currently loading their catalog of music into their online database and hopes to have over 250,000 song titles available at the official launch of the web site. I hope the company makes it off the ground because they seem to be interested in providing real customer service, which seems to be evaporating in a lot of businesses. For example, "if you do not like what you purchased you should not have to pay for it...just return it for a 100% store credit and we will ship you any other CD of equal value for FREE." Now that's a new concept, eh?
