RealNetworks To Launch New Version? Portable Subs?
RealNetworks is hosting an event on April 26, at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, to launch "a groundbreaking initiative in digital music". From what I know, this could be either or both of these two things:
-- the launch of the new version of its Rhapsody subscription music service (the company has been working on it for some time now)
-- the launch of a portable subscription music service to take it on portable devices. So far, Napster and FYE have launched such service, using Microsoft's new Janus DRM system...
Some more details here...
