Video Games Are Replacing Music Consumption With Men

Nielsen_entertainmentReuters: Yesterday, Nielsen Entertainment announced that men spend more money on video games than they do on all forms of music... What surprised me is that the report indicates that nearly 25% of gamers are over the age of 40, but that seems a bit high to me...The random survey may give credibility to the reported trend and was given to 1,500 people in Jan. and Feb....For males, Nielsen also said, "games now rank only behind DVDs as a purchase category, ahead of CDs, digital downloads and other ways of buying music."
