AOL To License Live 8 Rights TO MTV, XM and Premiere

This just came across in e-mail...(read our earlier post, "AOL vs MTV On Live8" to get the context): AOL has licensed Live 8 broadcast rights to MTV Networks, Premiere Radio Networks and XM Satellite Radio.
As the exclusive online provider, AOL will broadcast the five Live 8 concerts live, for free on AOL Music, and on its portals in the UK, France and Germany. AOL will also make the concerts available on demand for six weeks following the event. A team of on-site bloggers will post reports from five cities...
I would think this is among the first such deal where an online entity licenses the rights to an offline/TV company....
