Italians Soft On Piracy

AGI:  Research findings from an investigation conducted by ISPO on Italians and intellectual property will be presented today to mark Italy's World Intellectual Property Day, which is being promoted by the Minister of Cultural Activities. According to the article, it's the first time industry and government have sat down to closely examine and analyze piracy and imitation issues... "Only 28 percent of Italians consider piracy and imitation to be robbery...Another 23 percent only see it in the same way as robbery if it is undertaken for lucrative ends. A further 17 percent were undecided while the remaining 32 percent consider piracy and imitation as "not so bad, especially if the acquired materials were only for personal use." (Researchers interviewed 4,260 Italians aged 17 and above last April.)
