Apple iTunes Tops 500 Million Downloads
Afterdawn: Apple announced yesterday that its incredibly popular iTunes music service has sold more than 500 million legal downloads since it forever changed the entire industry over two years ago...Featuring about 1.5 million songs from over 1,000 labels, iTunes continues to spread to new countries (currently at 19) around the world, with Japan most likely next...Amy Greer, of Lafayette, Indiana made the 500 millionth download Faith Hill's "Mississippi Girl", winning 10 iPods, a 10,000 song voucher for the iTunes music store, a trip to see Coldplay and a backstage pass to meet up with the band at the show...
