Either people were staking out their Phish spots early on Sunday afternoon, or Snoop Dogg remains a pretty big deal: the Doggfather took Bonnaroo's biggest stage before Phish's fest-closing set and - what's a good way to put this - smoked it. (See for yourself with exclusive video here).
Traveling with a live band - the Snoopadelics, naturally - Snoop rolled through a set that was a little abbreviated (he was late in arriving) but consistently destructive and got probably 50,000 sun-cooked, sleep-deprived music fans to throw their hands in the air, especially on older tracks like "Gin and Juice," "Tha Shiznit" and "Pump Pump," which have aged spectacularly well. ("How many have been down with Snoop for over 10 years?" he asked midway through his set, becoming maybe the third rapper ever to acknowledge the aging process).
