Putting The 'Green' In Green Day

Green_day_nrdc Like two peas in a pod, Green Day has teamed with the Natural Resources Defense Council in a campaign to inform and motivate young people (and Jaded Insiders) to become activists to "protect the environment."

"Make every day a GREEN day!" They practically wrote this blog post headline for us!

The Green Day + NRDC Web site gives off all sorts of tips on how to conserve energy, spreading the word on alternative energy to your friends and writing a petition to the president.* Plus, there's video of the band explaining why they're on board with this particular issue.

We're thrilled that Green Day has clearly and boldly joined the band wagon with other artists like Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews Band and Guster, who have made commitments to better, more environmental practices whilst on the road and beyond.

*Ours read, "Mr. President, Green Day iS tEh BeSt BaNd EvR! Be nice to planet! kBye! JI."
