Mmmmm... Architecture in Helsinki
Who are these relentlessly jaunty electronic pop purveyors and why have they been hiding from me? JI and co. were putting together the Billboard.com 25 Must-Hear Indie article this week and Architecture in Helsinki came up somehow. Oh, JI thrilled to the SimCity Classic-esque cover art of their upcoming record "Places Like This," and the band name that had us dreaming of blonde pressboard Ikea bookcases. Must… put… this… in… ear… now. We were not disappointed. The slightly bent jangle, the quirky instrument oompa-pah-pah, the sheer danceability (yay, more rock pop with beatz, take that Datarock). Mmmmm. So, like, can we get some U.S. tour dates up in here?
