The Glut Of Lolla

Can't say we've seen it ALL, but what we didn't think possible or sanitary is apparently both: the VIP destination, the Music Lounge presented by Metromix.co m at the Hard Rock Hotel, hosted free tattoos. Sure, the manicures, pedicures, massages and even the haircuts all seems strangely standard issue. But tattoos? We wonder how many privileged few festival-goers walked away with a Radiohead scary bear logo, or perhaps an even scarier imprint of festival founder Perry Farrell's face permanently embellished on their flesh because, frankly, it was free.

Amongst pink sparkling wine, high-end speaker systems and fancy cheeses, another hot item was a swag-packed backpack, constituting of the following glut: full bottles of Arrojo shampoo and conditioner, New Castle accessories, Zirh clay mask, an allure biotene sample pack, a Diesel flask and pouch, a Belkin multi-jack headphone connector, Skullcandy earbuds, Hard Rock fashion items, "Footloose," "Shine a Light," a Blue Snowball multi-directional microphone, condoms, body lotion ... with the hot hot heat of the day, we wondered where the complimentary Slip-N-Slides or cabana boys were quarantined.

We spotted a couple members of the Go! Team congregating around Skullcandy's DJ headphone booth, as was a rep for Mark Ronson (pictured) who, as quietly as she could, approached the table, declared "I am with Mark Ronson," held up two fingers and sheepishly retreated with her double pair.
