EU Questions iTunes Pricing in Britain
Reuters: Well, this was bound to happen...Apple is under investigation by the European Commission for charging more in Britain for iTunes than it does in France or Germany (79 pence for UK vs 99 euro cents for France and Germany). The Britons can't buy from the Euro sites...
Guardian: (reg. req.) Apple's response: "That's not unusual. Look at the price of CDs in the US versus the UK. We believe the real comparison to be made is with the price of other track downloads in the UK," Apple said.
