BitTorrent Gets Infected
CNET: It was only a matter of time before spyware and adware developers started to contaminate the population of BitTorrent files out there on the net, since it is one of the coolest and efficient new forms of media distribution..."According to observers of the trend, videos and music that hide adware and spyware are increasingly being offered for download on various BitTorrent Web sites." The bad news is that these files riddle your system with pop-ups, slow your system down and potentially cause system instability. If you are presented with a dialog box advising extra software that is needed- just decline it as you will most likely still be able to get access to the desired content...
