Gonzalez Signs to Mute
... in the U.S. anyway. Formerly released through Hidden Agenda, Gonzalez' breakthrough debut will get a re-release on April 4, right around the corner. The Swedish songwriter has earned our attention in the past and we're happy he'll be gaining more exposure. Mute certainly is a diverse home for the quiet troubadour, with acts from Moby to Nick Cave to Liars to Throbbing Gristle on the roster. Hopefully a proper follow-up will be launching soon, considering he's been sitting on "Veneer" for more than four years.
Check out this commercial featuring Gonzalez' cover of the Knife's "Heartbeats," the song that launched 250,000 bouncy balls down a hilly street in San Francisco.
We're excited to hit one of Jose's many U.S. shows on Wednesday, where we might be treated to his cover of Kylie Minogue.
