Bumbershoot: Baring Fangs

Up-and-coming Seattlite post-punkers New Fangs supplied the most memorable performance thus far into the second day of Seattle's Bumbershoot festival. Below the giant flashing screen inside the Experience Music Project Sky Church, the foursome gave solace to those in the crowd who knew the importance of last year's Hot Snakes demise. Their dual-guitar attack also called to mind the Fall with more energy, or maybe a wiry, frantic version of early Fugazi. No complaints here.
