American Idol 7.0: You Watchin'?

The seventh season of "American Idol" is less than a week away, and in an icky kind of synergy, "Idol" grads are all up in the news. Mugshot-tastic also-ran Jessica Sierra's newly out of jail and Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee are newly sans their big label deals. Whew, that's quite a lead-in for a new season. Billboard wants to know if you'll be snuggling up to your TV on Jan. 15 when season seven starts or if you'll play hard to get and wait until later in the season to watch. Or will you skip it entirely? Vote here.

I will definitely watch Season 7, esp. now that the writer's strike has continued. And hey, Taylor and Katherine still have their karaoke DVDs!

Yes, We'll be tuned in. Without "Pushing Daisies" and "Dirty Sexy Money", TV is almost not worth watching. It's bad enough we had to wait almost three weeks for the patiable new episode of "Desperate Housewives", I thought 6 people were going to die? According the writers, it was going to be "Main characters", well we hardly consider Ida Greenburg a "main character" and Victor Lang was a newby anyway. When will the strike and the madness end?

Nope, the spoilers show way too many people who have already had record deals and failed. What happened to finding the NEW, undiscovered talent?
