Meat Is Murder: Moby Tackles KFC

In the new video for "Disco Lies" from long-time vegan and animal rights activist Moby (oh yeah, and he makes music, right?), animals make their own vengeance on meat purveyors. Never before did we think we'd be writing this sentence, but featured is a crime-hungry pimp chicken who avenges the death of other chickens by hunting down Colonel Sanders and ultimately sitting down to dine on an extra-crispy human drumstick. Part bad-ass, mostly creepy, the concept carries the track, which is hearkens Moby's earliest days as a house DJ. We like that it mixes entertainment with personal politics.

Frankly, we lost interest in Moby after high school, but this delicious groove just got us juiced for the Bald One's upcoming release, "Last Night," due April 1 in U.S. And to celebrate the stupid garbage of a holiday Valentine's, we're going to check out Moby's DJ set tonight at Hiro Ballroom; we're crossing our fingers for chicken costumes.
