Idol Worship: Diane Warren Heaps Praise On "Amazing" Adam Lambert

Diane-warren We ran into all sorts of people at Perez Hilton's birthday party on Saturday night, which was held at famed Los Angeles hot-spot the Viper Room and featured a surprise performance by none other than Christina Aguilera(!), but far more interesting than vapid conversations we had with the likes of Tara Reid was our quick chat with Diane Warren outside on Sunset Boulevard. The veteran songwriter, Perez pal and former Idol guest judge admitted she only recently started tuning in to season 8, but was already fired up about one contestant: Adam Lambert.

"I think he's amazing," Warren gushed. "Adam is a star. I just dig him because he's different from Idol's normal thing, and I think he's hugely marketable with the right material." Warren should know since, like Kara Dioguardi, she's written songs for many an Idol winner, including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Taylor Hicks. Still, Warren confessed, "I can't really sit through Idol, but when it gets to the Top 10, it starts to be about my business, since I'll likely work with these people."

As for any potential contenders to Adam's foreseeable victory, Warren says Allison Iraheta has the goods on the girls' side. "Allison rocks," she declared. "There's something about her that I love. And I like Matt Giraud, too. He's got a little Michael Bublé to him. But I'm still new to the show."

That's right, Diane. Give Matt some time to "develop," as they say in the music biz. — Shirley Halperin

I agree, I think Adam Lambert is the bomb, he is unique, and a true showman. Like Paula said I can't wait to see what he going to sing week after week. He is a breath of fresh air on the show. It must be difficult to be the other Idol contestants, and know Adam is the next American Idol. Gokey is runner up. But Kris is good too. I think we are going to see a lot of future careers in season 8. Looking forward to that.

Adam has the showmanship and charisma. His stage performance is "entertainment". He can belt out those tunes and emote at the same time making him a truly great performer. We will continue to see more and more of Adam after American Idol.

I just adore Adam, he has his a style of his very onw, and he has a way of turning an old favorate song into something so new and fresh, week after week he gets better and better, even if Adam dosen't win this composition we'll be seeing a lot of him in the future.

The top 3 finalists are going to be Adam, Danny and Allison. If it's any different, then there is something seriously wrong with America's voting habits. Kris for 4th place - could care less about anyone else.

Adam Lambert is simply mesmerizing....He is the total star package...talent, charisma, likeability and he seems to know exactly who he is and where he wants to go....the fact that he is always so gracious no matter what the judges say, is a true testament to his character. He gets better every week and leaves me just saying "wow"-the show could be over now with Adam taking the prize. Keep charming us Adam!!

Adam and Allyson are in a class by themselves. It's just so obvious. They are already super stars, whether they win Idol or not. I have never heard such voices...and she is only 16! She is just incredible and deserves to win. However, Adam is magical, his vocal technique is absolutely phenominal, and his intonation is perfect. So, he deserves to win as well! It will be sad if one of them doesn't win the competition.

I wasn't crazy about Adam on country night. My brother thought it was great. Since that night, he would be my pick. When he sings like he has been singing lately, I could listen all night long. What a great voice. Just don't repeat country night. Yes I am a country fan. That is all I listen to on the radio.

Adam, the next American Idol, you bet.

From the day I saw him on American Idol's tryouts, I knew he was the one to watch. Like everyone else I can't wait every week to see what he is going to do. He is the whole package and is very humble when the judges critique him. I can't wait to purchase his music. If he does not win American Idol this season, there is something terribly wrong with America.

I'm a Grandma of 9 and I just love Adam Lambert! My four oldest pre-teens are very entertained by me whenever Adam sings. I'm a devout Elvis fan and Adam reminds me of a young Elvis!!! He's got our votes!! Keep up the good work Adam!!!

Adam is Truly a Star already!

The comments are just a glimpse of what America already is so taken by this remarkable Talent! I think Idols very best vocals!

Danny is also one of my Fav's along with MAtt & Allison! Those are the 4 on the Idol Spotlight to really be big during and after the tour! But Adam is My #1 Choice since even his Audition! He is in a league all his Own & It SPELLS STAR!!! I love his humbleness too, and his charismatic performance! He gives 100% to every song and truly knows his style to interpret each song to make his own!

You either Got it or you don't...
& ADAM For Sure Has GOT IT!
You are the Real Package! Bravo! Tica :)

Adam is a good singer and a breathtaking performer as well as a practiced entertainer. He has the creativity of a David Cook or Jason Castro and the charisma of Chris Daughtry. He blows me away every time. Top that off with good looks, a sense of style, a sense of humor, and a skosh of humility? If he's smart and stays out of trouble and away from intoxicants, he'll have it made in the shade for the rest of his life. Idol sometimes bores me and I'm tired of watching so many heinously bad auditions, but it's a guilty pleasure and a small thrill to witness the beginning of what is likely to be a stellar--in both senses--career.

My husband is 65 and I am 61. We both love Adam and can't wait for his music to come out on cds. We just LOVE the last song he sang "Mad World". Fantastic!! He has it all.
He is (in Our View) kind of like a modern day Elvis.
A king is born!!

I have never been as interested in a performer as I am in Adam Lambert. I can barely wait until Tuesday night to see what he will do next and he always exceeds expectations - by far!! I have purchased everything he has done on iTunes and my family and I have listened to his songs over and over. I thought Tracks of my Tears was the best and now I think he's topped it with Mad World - truly haunting! I am probably not the regular target audience for Idol - I'm a 53 year old mother of two grown children - we are all NUTS over him!!

Adam is a bonafide superstar. He definately has all the tools to really make it big in the music industry. Would really like to see him perfom an Elvis song on the show.

Its about time we had another legend to look forward to. Adam will be (finally) the next super super star, right in there with Elvis..... He is that good!
