Anberlin Robbed Of Laptop With New Songs
J.I. was saddened to hear today that Anberlin frontman Stephen Christian's laptop had been swiped, and that it featured foundations for the music the band intended to include on its upcoming Universal album. Below, a statement from Christian:
"yesterday, after i got in from the early morning flight from michigan, a photo shoot, and then a late night of recording i come home to find my car had been broken into, two windows were smashed and they stole my laptop! i don't care about the laptop as much as i care about the songs that i had written in the program 'garage band' for the new album, it had all my lyrics and a good part of melody lines for some upcoming songs i was working on. as it were i am back to the drawing board on several songs and with less than four weeks left in this process count me in the stressed category. so if this album sucks blame it on the homeless guy, or better yet if a group of criminals comes out with a record that sounds very similar to anberlin, thats because it probably is us."
Anybody with information should contact the band via MySpace or its Web site.
