Motion City Soundtrack, Boston, 7/24
Motion City Soundtrack is probably one of the best live bands I've ever seen. There is just something about them that sets them apart from other bands in their "scene." It might be the fact that they have a moog player or because their lead singer has crazy hair; I'm not sure. They put so much energy into their live show, and the crowds gets just as into it as the band are. They played some classic songs like "The Future Freaks Me Out" and "Everything is Alright." They also played some new tunes called "Fell in Love Without You", "This is For Real", and their new single "Broken Heart"; all of which are on their new record coming out this September.
i love motion city! great job!

While I'm not sure that they're so different from their peers, MCS does seem like a good live band.

I wasn't really big on them before, but it's good to hear about something original. Maybe I'll check them out if they ever come near my area.
