08/09 - Warped Tour in Boston at the Tweeter Center
I have been going to Van's Warped tour every year for the past 5 years in both New York and Boston. I have to admit that the lineup for this years tour isn't as great as previous years, but there are some really great acts and I had a phenomenal time this year! There's something for everyone on this tour!
I started off my day seeing a band called Family Force 5. I had never seen them live before, and I had only heard one of their songs. They put on a great live show. They had a ton of energy and even had some breakdancing going on onstage. Insane!
Up next, I caught a band called So They Say. Their music was rather generic in comparison to some of the other bands I saw, but they play well and I have nothing bad to say about them.
I was able to watch these two bands onstage. It was a great view!
Up next, I saw one of my all-time favorite bands, The Starting Line. I have been a fan of theirs for years, and they get better every time I see them. They opened with their new single, "Island" followed by some older favorites. The crowd loved their set, and I did too. They also played some fan favorites like "Up and Go" from their first album and "Bedroom Talk" from their previous album. They put on one of the best shows of the day.
The last band I saw was Paramore from Franklin, TN. They definately saved the best act for last! Paramore's lead singer, Hayley, has one of the most amazing voices and their songs are incredibly catchy. Everyone in the band has so much energy and you can tell they love being onstage. They opened up with "Misery Business" and the crowd went crazy. They played a good mix of older and newer material including "crushcrushcrush" and concluding with "Pressure". They are easily one of my top 5 favorite bands ever. This show made me love them even more!
