The Click Five @ Radio City Music Hall - 8/27, New York
So, I've really enjoyed covering shows all summer long but I have to say, The Click Five at Radio City was probably the one I was looking forward to most. I really wasn't sure what to expect when I got there but I guess I should have known it would be a crowd of tween girls and their parents. I felt out of place but I didn't care because I love The Click Five and their new album. I couldn't wait to see the show, especially since it is the first tour since their new singer, Kyle Patrick, joined the band.
It was a great show. They did a few songs off their new album including Flipside. I love the harmonies on this song. They looked like they were having so much fun. I got really excited when they did Empty. I've been to shows where they don't do any slower, acoustic songs. I always wondered why because I personally love when they "slow things down." Plus, I think it allows the artist to show off and you can see how talented they really are. But I have to say, this is one of the best songs off the album and I'm so glad they did it.
The highlight of the set was when they did Jenny. I was waiting all night for this song. I first heard this song in the spring. I was so excited when I heard it because one of my BFF's name is Jenny (yes, I just said BFF - don't hate). So I always sing this song to her. Not to mention I find the music video quite entertaining.
Ok, enough rambling. Their set was only 25 minutes long or so. I was sad they didn't do more songs. But I had a great time at the show. Ok, I was slightly deaf after they went on due to the hundreds (maybe thousands?) of screaming 12 year olds around me but I still enjoyed the show!
Yay for "Jenny"! =) Thanks for introducing me to the song; you always crack me up when you serenade me with it. Good times.
